Governance Council
About The Governance Council
The Governance Council serves as the governing body of the Maryland Collaborative and is responsible for setting the organization’s overall policy and strategic direction. Key responsibilities include establishing programmatic priorities, guiding resource allocation, ensuring the confidentiality of collected information, reviewing state-level legislative proposals, and supporting long-term sustainability efforts.
The Council meets annually and is composed of presidents from member institutions of higher education across Maryland. Members are committed to advancing evidence-based strategies to reduce college alcohol use and related harms on their campuses and statewide. Governance Council members serve on a voluntary basis and are selected by their peers.
